ASIAN COUNTY BOARD / PRIVACY & COOKIES

Privacy & Cookies

How ACB handles information on asiangaa.com, including website submissions, media and your choices about optional analytics.

This policy explains what information the website uses, how we handle news and photographs, your cookie choices, and how to request corrections or raise a concern.

1. Who operates this website?

Asian County Board (ACB) uses asiangaa.com for official Board communications, fixtures, tournaments, club information, sponsors and editorial media. This policy covers the website and enquiries sent to its operators. Independent clubs, event organisers, shops and linked services may have their own privacy notices and responsibilities.

The Asian County Board (ACB) operates asiangaa.com and determines how information is used for this website, including editorial publication and enquiries it receives. For privacy questions, corrections or removal requests, contact the Digital Communications Officer at digitalcomms.asia@gaa.ie. For child safeguarding or welfare concerns, contact the ACB Children's Officer at childrensofficer.asia@gaa.ie. These are role-based contacts, not a claim that either person holds a statutory Data Protection Officer appointment. Player membership and registration are handled separately through Foireann.

2. What information is involved?

The website may handle technical and security information (such as IP address, device or browser details and request times), enquiries, contributor and club or sponsor contact details, submissions, published names, stories, images, videos and privacy choices. Identifiable photographs and match reports can be personal data. Optional analytics are used only when you allow them through the website's consent controls. This website does not operate the player membership or registration database; that information is handled separately through Foireann.

3. Optional website analytics

With your permission, Webflow analytics may help ACB understand page visits and interactions so we can improve news, fixtures and event information. Optional analytics are blocked by default and are only allowed after you choose to accept them.

You can reject optional analytics without losing access to ordinary website content. You can also open Preferences to choose categories and use the Privacy settings link in the footer later to change or withdraw your choice.

4. Cookies, local storage and your choices

Cookies and local storage support essential site functions, security and remembering privacy choices. Optional analytics are controlled separately. Consent Pro provides Accept, Reject and Preferences controls, and the Privacy settings link in the footer lets you change your choice later. Marketing and personalisation categories may appear in the consent interface, but no trackers were identified in those categories in the current scan.

5. External services and links

Webflow hosts this website, and Finsweet Consent Pro provides the privacy-choice controls. Board Access links to separate forms hosted by Jotform for fixtures, media, sponsors and club profiles; please read the information provided on those forms and Jotform's privacy notice. ACB remains responsible for how it uses information and material submitted to it, including anything it publishes on this website. Other links may lead to Foireann, clubs, event organisers, shops, social platforms, maps or video services with their own privacy notices. A club listing or sponsor logo does not authorise sharing visitors' contact details.

6. Retention, recipients and international transfers

ACB keeps enquiries and unpublished submissions only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which they were received, subject to any legal or operational requirement to keep them longer. Published articles, results and photographs may remain as part of the public sporting and editorial record, but ACB will consider correction or removal requests. Access to non-public information is limited to authorised people and relevant service providers. Consent Pro records privacy choices so those choices can be respected and evidenced. Service providers may process information in countries other than the visitor's own; where applicable, their published contractual and transfer safeguards apply. For a request concerning your information, email digitalcomms.asia@gaa.ie.

7. Your privacy rights and questions

Depending on applicable law, you may be able to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing, withdraw consent or complain to a competent regulator. Send website requests, including image or article concerns, to digitalcomms.asia@gaa.ie. ACB may need to verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. For Foireann membership records, use that service's separate privacy contacts. Use Privacy settings in the website footer to change optional tracking choices. Removing website content cannot guarantee deletion of copies held independently elsewhere.

For privacy, corrections and requests to remove website images or articles, email the Digital Communications Officer at digitalcomms.asia@gaa.ie. For child welfare or safeguarding concerns, email the ACB Children's Officer at childrensofficer.asia@gaa.ie. The Children's Officer will escalate concerns to the Board Chairperson and Secretary, relevant GAA safeguarding personnel or competent authorities as appropriate, excluding anyone implicated. Share information only with those who need it. For immediate danger, contact local emergency or child-protection authorities directly. If an image also needs removal, notify Digital Communications. Do not submit confidential safeguarding details through public forms.

8. Young people, photographs and safeguarding

The Digital Communications Officer oversees photographs, video and articles on this website. Clubs, organisers and contributors must obtain the permissions needed before sending identifiable images of under-18s, including appropriate parent or guardian permission and the young person's agreement where required. ACB checks the suitability of material for publication, may request confirmation of permissions and avoids unnecessary identifying details such as a child's contact information, school or address. Request correction or removal at digitalcomms.asia@gaa.ie; report child welfare or safeguarding concerns separately to the Children's Officer at childrensofficer.asia@gaa.ie, who will escalate appropriately. For immediate danger, contact local emergency or child-protection authorities.

9. News, club communications and media submissions

The Digital Communications Officer oversees Board news, separately labelled club submissions, fixtures and website media. Contributors may supply names, roles, contact details, articles, images, captions and video links. The Board publishes only appropriate material and checks permissions, especially for under-18 participants. A contributor's declaration alone does not establish permission from everyone pictured. Player registration and membership remain outside this website.

People submitting articles, photographs or videos must obtain the permissions needed from those featured and from copyright holders before submitting them, including appropriate parent or guardian permission for children where required. The Board reviews material before publication and may request confirmation of permissions. Website submissions do not enrol anyone in marketing, and private contributor or club contact details will not be published without an appropriate basis. For corrections or removal requests, contact digitalcomms.asia@gaa.ie.

10. Public records, image corrections and requests for removal

Published fixtures, results, profiles, articles and photographs may be viewed, indexed or shared worldwide. ACB aims to keep published information accurate and limited to what is needed for the sporting or editorial purpose, avoiding unnecessary personal contact information, dates of birth, home addresses and sensitive information. Information already published by a club or another organisation is not automatically republished here.

To correct or remove content published on asiangaa.com, email the Digital Communications Officer at digitalcomms.asia@gaa.ie with the page link and a brief explanation. The Board will review material under its control and liaise with the relevant club or organiser where needed. For concerns about a child's welfare, contact the Children's Officer at childrensofficer.asia@gaa.ie; that officer will escalate to the Board Chairperson, Secretary, relevant GAA safeguarding personnel or appropriate authorities as required. For immediate danger, contact local authorities directly. Content copied or cached independently may remain outside ACB's control.

11. GAA membership, Foireann and separate organisations

This is a public communications website, not a membership system. Player registration is handled in Foireann; its separate notice at gaa.ie/foireannprivacy identifies relevant club and association responsibilities. Contact the club or association named there for membership-record requests. This website's Digital Communications contact handles website publications, not Foireann accounts.

Club, registration and shopping links may lead to independently operated services with separate notices. If this website later begins receiving player lists or registration information, its privacy arrangements must be updated before that processing. Membership or event registration does not itself grant permission to publish someone's photograph or send marketing.

12. Purposes and legal grounds for processing

We use information to operate and secure the website, respond to enquiries, communicate with contributors, clubs and sponsors, publish Gaelic games news and media, manage corrections and record privacy choices. Depending on the activity and applicable law, ACB may rely on consent, steps requested by the person, legitimate interests in running and communicating about Gaelic games, or legal obligations. Where consent is the appropriate basis, you can withdraw it for the future. Registration through Foireann is separate and is not consent for publicity.

13. Sponsor and contributor communications

The Board uses sponsor and contributor contact details to respond to enquiries and coordinate approved website content or partnerships. Media submissions, tournament registrations, photographs and sponsor enquiries do not authorise unrelated marketing or sharing contact lists. asiangaa.com does not operate a newsletter, subscription mailing list or marketing email list.

14. Security, access and incidents

Report suspected data loss, account compromise, incorrect publication or unauthorised disclosure to the Digital Communications Officer at digitalcomms.asia@gaa.ie. The Board will restrict access where needed, record the incident securely and assess any legal notification duties. Child welfare concerns must also reach the Children's Officer at childrensofficer.asia@gaa.ie, who will escalate to the Board Chairperson and Secretary, GAA safeguarding personnel or competent authorities as required. Share information only on a need-to-know basis and exclude anyone implicated. Emergency action or legally required reporting must not be delayed.

15. Changes to this notice

Last updated: 23 September 2026. ACB will review this notice when tracking, forms, suppliers, retention practices or youth-media arrangements change. Material updates will be reflected in this notice and, where required, in the website's privacy choices.
