Bangkok Welcomes Asia's Biggest Gaelic Gathering
The 2025 Asian Gaelic Games once again showcased the very best of Gaelic Games across Asia. Clubs travelled from throughout the region to compete across senior, intermediate and junior competitions in football, hurling and camogie, with hundreds of players taking part in one of the highlights of the Asian GAA calendar. Throughout the weekend, players, volunteers, referees and supporters came together to celebrate competition, friendship and the unique community spirit that defines Gaelic Games across Asia.
Singapore Gaelic Lions Complete Historic Weekend
Singapore Gaelic Lions enjoyed one of the most successful tournaments in their history, capturing all four senior championships. The club claimed the Senior Men's Football, Senior Ladies Football, Senior Hurling and Senior Camogie titles, with the ladies successfully defending both senior championships for a fourth consecutive year. Their Senior Men's Football side also secured a third straight championship, while the hurlers regained the title after narrowly missing out the previous season. The ladies' football success carried additional significance as the club brought home the Lisa Orsi Cup on the tenth anniversary of Lisa Orsi's passing.
Competition Across Every Division
Beyond the senior championships, clubs competed across intermediate and junior grades throughout the weekend. The tournament also recognised outstanding individual performances through MVP and All Star awards, highlighting talent from across the region. For many players, Bangkok marked their first experience of Asian Gaelic Games competition, reflecting the continued growth of clubs and the welcoming nature of the Asian GAA community. As always, the Asian Gaelic Games were about far more than trophies. The weekend brought together players from across Asia to strengthen friendships, reconnect with teammates and celebrate the shared culture that continues to unite the region's Gaelic Games community.
