ABOUT THE CLUB
Founded in 1995, Japan GAA is a volunteer, non-profit organisation promoting international friendship and understanding in Japan and across Asia through Gaelic games and Irish culture. The club brings together members from Japan, Ireland and many other countries, welcomes players of all backgrounds and experience levels, and maintains a year-round programme of sporting and social activity.
TRAINING
Japan GAA trains regularly in Tokyo, with sessions held at Yashio-kita Park in Shinagawa. Training runs throughout the playing season, with dates and times communicated through the club calendar and member channels. New and experienced players are welcome.
COMPETITIONS
Japan GAA participates in the Asian Gaelic Games and North Asian Gaelic Games, as well as club tournaments, international sports events and Gaelic football fixtures in Japan. The club has sent teams to every Asian Gaelic Games since 1996 and every North Asian Gaelic Games since 2008, and hosted the North Asian Gaelic Games in 2010 and 2019.

Japan GAA hosted the North Asian Gaelic Games in 2010 and 2019.
Japan GAA players have represented Asia at the GAA World Games, and the women’s team played at Croke Park in 2017.
